late orientation

Welcome International Class of Fall 2008!
If you were unable to attend New Student Orientation on August 6 and 7, you MUST complete several new student requirements on your own. The following information will help you prepare for your late arrival at Fullerton College.

Before you arrive in the US
If you are a transfer student who is already in the United States, please visit the International Student Center and complete all these steps at the same time.

  1. Health Insurance: Purchase health insurance BEFORE you register for classes. For your convenience, you can enroll in Somerton Student Insurance on-line. Once you have enrolled, the ISC will be notified and confirmation of your coverage will be noted in your file. Read our health insurance policy and enroll on-line.

  2. Register for a MINIMUM of 12 units. We suggest that you register for some classes online before you arrive at Fullerton College. Review our registration instructions.

Math/English: If you have not yet taken the placement tests, you
cannot enroll in Math or English until after you take the tests and see a
    counselor.

After you arrive in the US

  1. Immigration Forms: If you have recently entered the US, bring your passport & I-20 to the ISC Staff so we can make copies for your file.

  2. Assessment Tests: Take Math and English placement tests to determine your correct course placement, if necessary. Review the English and Math sample tests. The Assessment Center is located in room 513 (building 500).

  3. Academic Appointment: Meet with the International Counselor to select and confirm your classes. Call 714-992-7580 to make an appointment.

  4. Social Events: Get to know the ISC Staff and other Fullerton College students at our Welcome Week Events in August 2008.

  5. Late Orientation: Friday, September 5 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Meet at the International Student Center, room 220.
