It is required of all students
attending on the Fullerton College I-20 have health insurance coverage.
In order to register for classes, students must purchase International
Health and Accident Insurance and provide proof of coverage to the
International Student Center.
The insurance policy mandated by the North Orange County Community College
District is Wells
Fargo Student
Insurance. This policy provides for your basic health and accident
care, vision care, prescriptions, and vaccinations as well as Global
Emergency Medical Assistance exclusively for international students.
Somerton's partner, Assist America,
provides services including emergency evacuation, medically supervised
repatriation, emergency trauma counseling, legal referrals, etc. for
students abroad or 100 miles or more from their permanent residence.

How to Use your Insurance
The best way to use your health
insurance is to:
1. Visit Fullerton College Health Services first and get a referral to
another doctor. A referral will save you the $25 co-pay cost.

2. SAVE MONEY by using a doctor or facility that is part of
the CMN Preferred
Provider Network (PPO).
- When you use a PPO provider, 100% of the costs will be covered.
- If you use a non-PPO provider, only 75% is covered.

How to File a Claim
Claims are administered though International Claims Services. Students
must mail the following items within 180 after an injury or sickness has
occurred:
1. Completed
claim form.
2. All itemized medical/hospital bills and pharmaceutical bills. If a
pharmacy bill,
submit the prescription.
3. If you were referred by the FC Health Center, include the
referral form
