SPRING 2010: New students MUST ATTEND Orientation!  Please review and complete all steps required of new students.

Welcome International Class of Spring 2010!
International Student Orientation consists of two mandatory days of general orientation on academic counseling, immigration regulations, class selection and registration. 

Additionally, there are many Welcome Events planned to help students get to know one another, become familiar with the Fullerton area, and relax and prepare before the semester begins.

Academic Orientation (choose only 1 option for academic)

Wednesday,  November 4

8:45 am		Check-in (light breakfast, coffee, & tea provided)
9:30 am		Academic Orientation
12:30 pm		Lunch with Fullerton College students, faculty & staff
2-7 pm		Individual Academic Counseling Sessions

Academic Orientation will take place in the College Center, room 220, Building 200.

• English and Math Placement Assessment
  Assessments determine appropriate course level placement and may take 1-3 hours to complete. Located in the Assessment Center, Room 513.

Thursday, January 13: Immigration Regulations/Campus Orientation

9:00 am		Check-in (light breakfast, coffee, & tea provided
9:30 am		Immigration Orientation: topics include F-1 visa regulations, employment, social security, etc.
10:30 am		Campus & Cultural Orientation
12:00 pm		Campus Tour & lunch with California Cousin

Immigration Regulations/Campus Orientation will take place in the College Center, room 220, Building 200.

• myGateway Registration                                       
  After academic counseling, students can register for their classes online and get help using myGateway at Admissions & Records. Tuition fees are due within 72 hours of registration.

Welcome Events

		Thursday, January 14: Official Welcome Dinner This is the official welcome event for the International Class of 2009! New students will get to know other Fullerton College students and ISC Staff. Don't miss out on this opportunity to get involved and enjoy this special dinner in downtown Fullerton. (International Students $5, Guests $10). Meet at the ISC at 5:00 pm. We will walk to downtown.
		Thursday, January 21:  ISC Open House WELCOME BACK! All new and continuing international students and friends are invited to stop by the International Student Center, room 220, for some FREE FOOD. Come get to know the dedicated ISC staff and meet other students any time between 2 and 5 pm.
		Friday, January 29:  Bowling After you’ve started classes and settled into Fullerton, the ISC is heading to AMF Carter Lanes.  Cost is $5.  Meet at the ISC at 12:00pm.  Transportation will be provided and we will return to Fullerton College by 4pm.

All fees for Welcome Week events will be collected at Orientation or before each event. You may submit cash or a check written to Fullerton College.
