FALL 2008: New students MUST ATTEND
Orientation! Please review and complete all steps
required of new students.
Welcome International Class of Fall 2008!
International Student Orientation
consists of two mandatory days of general orientation on August
6th & 7th, academic
counseling, placement testing, class selection and registration.
Additionally, there are many Welcome Events planned to help
students get to know one another, become familiar with the Fullerton
area, and relax and prepare before the semester begins.

August 6:
Academic Orientation

Academic Orientation will take place in
the College Center, room 220, Building 200.

English & Math Placement Testing,
August 6
Tests determine appropriate course level placement and may take 1-3
hours to complete. Located in the Assessment Center, Room 513.

Academic Counseling,
August 6 & 7
Students will be assigned to either a group
counseling session or a half-hour
individual counseling appointment, located at
the International Student Center, Room 220. After academic
counseling, students are invited to the ISC or campus computer lab
(before 5 pm) to register for classes on-line.

myGateway Registration
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm After academic counseling, students can
register for their classes online and get help using myGateway in the
computer lab. Tuition fees are due within 72 hours of registering online.
Located in Lab 611, Building 600.

Thursday, August 14:
Official Welcome Dinner
This is the official welcome event for the International Class of
2008! New students will get to know other Fullerton College students
and ISC Staff. Don't miss out on this opportunity to get involved
and enjoy this special dinner in downtown Fullerton. (International
Students $5, Guests $10). Meet at the ISC at 5:30 pm. We will walk
to downtown. |

Thursday,
August 21:
ISC Open House
& Beach Bonfire
WELCOME BACK! All new and continuing international students and friends
are invited to stop by the International Student Center, room 220, for
some FREE FOOD. Come get to know the dedicated ISC staff and meet other
students any time between 2 and 5 pm.
Then, come with us to Huntington Beach to spend a
night around the bonfire. Experience the American traditions of "roasting
marshmallows" and makine "s'mores." Transportation will be arranged and we
will return to the ISC by 11pm. |

Friday,
August 29:
Magic Mountain After you’ve started classes and settled into Fullerton,
the ISC is heading to the bowling alley. Cost is $5 and lunch will be
served. Meet at the ISC at 12:00pm.
Transportation will be
provided and we will return to Fullerton College by 4pm. |
All fees for Welcome Week events will be collected at Orientation or before each event. You may submit cash or a check written
to Fullerton College.
